Accounting is one of my top subjects! I am an Accounting student at FGCU who will be entering the master's program in the Fall of 2013. I currently hold a 3.95 GPA and am tutoring Intermediate 3 accounting, Accounting Information Systems and Managerial Accounting. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always been fascinated by numbers and how the analysis of numbers can be used in nearly everything we do. I have a MBA from a top 20 program that has helped me further develop my mathematical skills in statistics and calculus. I have helped tutor children in various after-school volunteer programs and was a paid tutor while in undergrad and grad school. While the tutoring ran the gamut, I tended to focus on math (algebra, stats), finance/accounting and writing (typically logical essays not creative writing).

I believe the best way to teach is to relate the subject to the children. A child may not understand fractions but if you ask them to divide up a candy bar, they know how many pieces they want to split it in to and how many they want. I believe that listening is the key to teaching. A good teacher and a good listener is the difference between a child attending school and a child excelling in school.
