I am a recent college graduate of a private liberal arts college, which gave me experience in every area of education, along with real world experiences. I have had many opportunities to lead and teach children through various extracurricular activities and jobs during my high school and college careers. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, where I gained a lot of knowledge in the areas of math, science, and health. My step of action in teaching would be to guide and challenge students by remembering that each one is unique. I consider dedication, patience, and encouragement to be three main keys of teaching. I recently graduated from NSU with a BS in Chemistry as well as minors in Biology and Math. I have very good writing skills not only because of writing lab reports but I worked for the university in the community relations office. I helped write many letters and plans detailing events we had. I have tutored fellow college students in math and science for the past 4 years. I have been a classroom teacher for 9 years. All 10 of my years out of school have been in the education field. My first year out of college I taught at an unaccredited private school, and then at an accredited day care center. The next 7 years were at a public school. One year I was recruiting for scholarships at the college level. I have always opened my door to students without expectations of payment for several years. I feel that it is my duty to make sure they understand their assignments. My passion is working with children of all ages.
