Experience Summary
I know the value of a tutor in a young person’s life. As a child I struggled in math, but working with a tutor I overcame my difficulties in this area and eventually went on to complete calculus level two and even become the math club president in high school. I have earned two degrees, a Masters in Business and a BS in Finance which have allowed me to gain extensive skills in math, statistical analysis, finance and writing. I’ve written many research papers and a business plan for a small company which garnered several awards. I have work experience in finance, accounting, and writing and am adept at using most of the Microsoft Office programs to complete projects. I have one year of tutoring experience.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is patient and creative. I seem to find unique ways and examples that the learner can understand to help describe how to solve problems. I’m not afraid to admit if I’m not confident of an answer to a question and will do all I can to figure out the solution that makes the best sense to the student. I’m flexible with regards to teaching for different learning styles because not everyone learns the same way. My tutoring can extend from grade school kids to college students.
