As an Iowa State graduate, I was very driven to not only achieve a great education but to actually learn the material set forth by my professors. At Iowa State I started with as a sociology major but throughout my career I was able to find additional interests and ended my tenure at Iowa State with a degree in Sociology and Political Science, with minors in Criminal Justice and Philosophy. The majority of my teaching and tutoring experience has been in English and Math. During college, I worked in the on-campus tutoring center for 4 years, focusing primarily on Math. After graduating, I spent 4 years in China teaching English and training others to teach English as a Foreign Language.
