By far, the biggest issue I have found with students with difficulty learning mathematics or the sciences is that there is a lack of motivation to learn, primarily because they do not understand the implications of the knowledge in front of them. Because I have studied physics, mathematics, and completed the pre-medicine curriculum at my university, I am brimming with knowledge of these applications. Once my students have gained an understand of all the cool stuff we can do with knowledge in these avenues, they tend to absorb concepts much more readily. I have also found that my general excitement for the subjects I am teaching rubs off on my pupils.

The majority of my teaching and tutoring experience has been in English and Math. During college, I worked in the on-campus tutoring center for 4 years, focusing primarily on Math. After graduating, I spent 4 years in China teaching English and training others to teach English as a Foreign Language. I have tutored and mentored my friends and classmates in school. I feel comfortable guiding students and helping them with problem solving. I like to do research on problems i can not resolve and i try to solve them within a reasonable amount of time. There are different ways of going about solving a problem.
