I believe anyone can learn and their quality of knowledge improved by finding a level and rapport that works for each individually. I work patiently, with humor, and at a pace with students that helps them to feel not only comfortable but appreciated for their efforts. I consider a key ingredient to be to first find what base levels of knowledge the student has before plunging into the subject at hand. While working toward my master’s degree at Potsdam, I taught a year-long graduate math course on Algebraic Number Theory which was well-attended by my peers and professors. I also tutored in SUNY Potsdam’s undergraduate mathematics lab for two years. I worked with many students in lower level math courses including Calculus and Probability and Statistics.
