A Little Bit About Me...

I love, and am passionate about teaching children of all ages. I am a mother of three, and all of them have drastically different learning styles. I believe there are ways to teach that can encourage the child in their strenghts, and weaknesses and learn how to learn by emphasizing these strengths.
I have worked a number of years in Early Childhood, Elementary level of Education, Middle School, and Special Education. I have also worked with children from the age of 6 weeks to 18 years old. I have worked as both a worked as a Para-educator and a teacher in a classroom with students with behavioral disorders. I taught 6th grade math and science 2007-2008, 2008-2009 school years, I taught 5th grade.I have both a CO. Teaching License and a CA Teaching License. Both are multiple subject credentials. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style can easily fit individuals of all ages. I like to teach people how to learn music quickly, and I use a method that incorporates both learning how to play by ear, and reading music. Using this method, my students can quickly learn how to play popular music that they will enjoy, as well as the classics. I believe that any student can easily learn to play the piano, regardless of their age or experience, with my method.
As a music student at metro, and a jazz/classical pianist with over 15 years of experience, I’ve had a lot of experience teaching students musical technique, especially in terms of modern music/jazz. I’ve been in many different types of bands, ranging from classical quartets to rock bands, and have received several awards, including awards for musicianship at the Greeley jazz festival.
