Experienced. Effective. The logical choice.

I have always enjoyed teaching others sharing my love of learning. I find it most effective to use a variety of methods to successfully teach information. Material is best learned when it can be easily understood by the student and has practical applications for everyday life. I am not the type of tutor to just hand out answers to problems. I spent a summer as a teaching assistant and tutor with the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth. I was responsible for teaching and supervising the laboratory portion of the high school Chemistry advanced placement class. In the evenings, I was also responsible for the two hour study hall sessions held with the entire class. This involved re-lecturing some concepts and also answering questions with students one-on-one. Later, I spend a school year as an after-school teacher in an elementary school which involved working on homework for a half hour everyday with 46 different students.
