I'm somewhat new to tutoring, but am currently helping 2 high school seniors prepare for the ACT and apply to college. I often help my younger relatives with their homework as well. In school my favorite subjects were English, Literature/Reading, Art, Spanish, & Creative Writing, but I am also good at assisting students with Math, Science, & History, if at the high school level or below.

While working on my Japanese minor I quickly discovered that finding a method that works for an individual student is the most important part of studying productively. Since high school I have been aware that I wanted to teach. I am currently pursueing a Masters of Education, and finishing one of my specializations, (French). I have taught for several businesses. I also taught for the Worthington Public School system as a volunteer and teaching asssistant. I try to devote the day to getting kids interested in learning while covering the topics necessary. I am a doctoral candidate finishing up my third year in the Department of French and Italian at The Ohio State University. My major is French, with a specialization in second language acquisition (SLA), and secondary specializations in modern French culture and French cinema. In addition to my studies, I also teach French within the Department. In my five years of experience, I have taught the first four levels of French, in addition to intensive versions that combine two of the levels together. Nothing is better than seeing a huge smile on a child's face once they cath on to something. I love helping children learn by doing a lot of visual activities and practicing!
