A Little Bit About Me...

I love to teach children and have fun at the same time. I love to incoprate games, i.e. jeopordy, or watch various DVD's on the subject that I am tutoring. I also realaize that not every student leanrs the same, what may work for one may not work for another.
I am a senior at the State University at Albany, where I am majoring in History. I am aniticapting graduating in the summer of 2010. I earned my AS degree in Liberal Arts. I currently work as a after school counselor at PineBush Elementary in Guilderland NY. Majoring in History, I have learned to write various papers and analized data. I believe in challenging a student to do more than they were aware they could do - I have consistently found that individuals give themselves less credit than they deserve. I believe in making a lesson relevant to a student - keep it abstract and it will remain difficult, but bring it home and they will own it.
