I teach the way I counsel--by expecting self-responsibility. I use humor to enhance one's motivation to seek out and focus on one's strengths. I am not a coddler--I believe that higher expectations result in higher performance. When coupled with empathy, faith in the individual and strong foundations of skills, success is inevitable.

Since my first degree was completed through an integrated, online program, I stress organizational skills. If I feel that a student is having an issue with organization, I explain to them how much it helps me to organize and then we address the issues they might be having.
Currently pursuing my second Bachelor's degree, I have been exposed to a wide variety of curriculum. I have tutored for the past year at the Center for Academic Support and Excellence at SUNY Cobleskill. We provide ... read more
