I have taught multiple subjects during my tenure including almost all of the classes in GenEd and in math, physics, calculus. I am currently pursuing my Master's of Science at UTMartin in MSEd in Theory and Practice and finish next year. My 15+ years in engineering, B.S. in Physics, qualifies me. Although drill may be appropriate for some skills, my preference is project or problem based methods that draw on the learner's experiences and interests. I work from students' current skill levels, provide challenging problems, model successful learning skills, encourage students' to express creativity and intuition, and employ formative and normative assessments. I firmly believe that more advanced mathemtaics can be taught to younger and more diverse students. I believe that all students, of all skill levels, can learn mathemtaics if creatively taught.
