Teaching has always come naturally to me. As a young teenager, I began helping younger siblings and neighborhood kids with their homework. As a mental health professional on an Adolescent Psychiatric Unit, I discovered that educating patients was far more empowering than implementing conventional Rogerian counseling techniques.
