Teaching is my passion, I believe that every student has the ability to do better and every student can be taught. There is no set method to teach as every person absorbs information differently. I like to teach by providing many different methods of instruction and then observing which is the best of my students. In the mathematics and science areas there are a variety of instruction methods. For mathematics, I teach a student how to do a problem, then go over a problem together before finally allowing the student to solve one. I enjoy teaching and helping all children. I am a strong believer that all children can be taught all subjects, and should be given the opportunity to do just that. I am always willing to teach the child, in the best way that will help them, whether this be through explanation, or through a hands on approach. Children are our future, and should be given the opportunities to learn.
Throughout my life, I have always felt very strong about achieving a high level of education. As a older sibling to a child that had a learning disability, I felt it was my responsiblity to help him achieve a high school diploma. From the age of six years old to his senior year in high school, I tutored my brother in all subjects, from math and english to electives. From this experience, I was able to help other children improve their level of education as well.
