I have 20 years experience in the marines, so I have a no nonsense approach to teaching and tutoring. My own two children (boys, now grown) will tell you that despite my military bearing, I am patient and understanding with kids. I have taught all subject areas in middle school ESE settings for six years in a variety of classroom models.

I graduated with a Bachelor's in English from Troy University Dothan in December 2009. Since I opted for a Bachelor's in English rather than a Bachelor's in Secondary English Education, I took more writing and literature classes. In all of my English Literature classes, I had numerous writing assignments that helped me learn how to write. I also took writing and grammar classes which helped improve my writing skills tremendously. I tutored when I was in Jr. High School. The student I tutored was learning how to read. A Little Bit About Me...

As a recent fall 2009 graduate, it is my goal to become an educator and help other students learn the concepts behind mathematics. I want students to understand that math is not a scary subject and that you can enjoy this field area. In the past, I have tutored/volunteered in the following areas of mathematics: Basic math.
