Latin is one of my top subjects! I have five years' experience in learning Latin. I took Latin all through High School and while at University.

During my high school and university careers, I have focused primarily on languages and language acquisition. I have studied 12 different languages and I have obtained varying degrees of proficiency in each of them: Latin, Romanian, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, German, Danish, Swedish, Greek, Scottish Gaelic, and Welsh. I am most proficient in Russian and Latin, with conversational proficiency in Danish, French, and Spanish. In all others, I have basic/intermediate proficiency skills. I also focused on history and historical circumspection. I minored in History while at University, taking many various history courses. I have a solid foundation in Russian History, American History, and European History, particularly in English, Scottish, and French History.

All too often students become demotivated and demoralised, losing faith in their instincts and abilities. Through sensitive tutoring I aim to reawaken an enthusiasm for learning in my students - to tap into their natural curiosity and resourcefulness to enable them to take ownership of their education and meet their potential. I have a strong working knowledge of different learning styles and teaching theories and am careful to tailor lessons to learners' specific needs and aptitudes.
I have a First Class BA in English from Oxford University and a Masters in Film. After graduating I worked with an educational consultancy where I helped to create learning materials for numerous children and adults, many of whom were learning English as a second language or had dyslexia.
