I propone an exploratory, learn-by-doing philosophy regarding education; I believe that students are best served producing their own inquiries (guided by an educator), and then seeking resolution through gathering information. I've been informally teaching for around 7 years, starting with private percussion lessons and high school drumline instruction and most recently tutoring through the Migrant Education Program in the subject areas of English as a Second Language, math, science, and Spanish. I began learning Spanish my freshman year of high school and immediately knew that I wanted to teach it as a career. Since then, I have studied abroad twice. My first time was in Merida, Mexico during the Summer of 2010. I spent my Fall 2011 semester in Granada, Spain.
