I believe that each and every student has an ability to learn and it is necessary to find a method of teaching conducive to the individual. For example, I was a student that learned though hands on activities and writing. Having a teacher stand and lecture never appealed to me. As a student-athlete at Illinois State University, I learned many invaluable skills. The education that I have received in Biology and Chemistry enabled me to develop excellent skills not only in many of the life sciences and physics but also math.
