My comments on tutoring Spelling : Teaching elementary classes for over 40 years I have spent much time teaching Spelling. I know that students have different learning styles and therefore adapt my teaching style for them.

I have enjoyed very much working with children and I know that every student has his own learning style and my teaching must be adapted to them. I am patient, even with children who do not speak fluent English and I seek to encourage them to seek success. I believe a phonics approach to reading can help children learn to read quickly and confidently. I also believe a hands on approach to math can be very valuable to a child's learning. Spelling is one of my top subjects! Participated in multiple spelling bees as a youth.

Have never tutored anyone before aside from helping my younger sister with her homework. I completed high school with a 3.5 GPA and am currently preparing to start my 2nd year of community college. Math has always been my best subject. In 11th grade I was enrolled in Algebra II honors, I then took a pre-college algebra course in 12th grade, took a similar course my first semester of college, and then took college algebra. I learned to read when I was 3 or 4 which was earlier than most people I was around. I finished in 16th place in my 5th grade spelling bee finals. Would have gone farther but I mistook course for coarse.
I like to be fun. I don't want to be the teacher/tutor that nobody likes. I want kids to be excited to see me every day. I want to be the guy that 20 years from now, they look back on their lives and remember me and what I was able to do for them.
