I earned my BA in 1989 in Texas. I moved to Florida in 1990 and realized I wanted to be a teacher. My local community college, however, did not offer any courses to help my earn a teaching certification. Then I read an article in my local newspaper three years ago. I enrolled in the Teacher Preparation Institute at the same community college and am now certified to teach. I held an in class room teaching position last year from 10/2008 - 6/2009.
