I have obtained my Bachelors in human Services and completed the teaching certification program at Lonestar College. I have passed my content exams in special education ec-12 and the generalist 4-8. I will take my social studies 4-8 content next month. I have taught adults with special needs for two years. My teaching style is very unique. I am fairly young and I like to invovle the students in the lesson instead of just lecturing the whole time. I believe in todays society children like to use thier visual, auditory, and tactile skills to grasp the concept of a lesson. This is a new age and with that requires research and learning on the teachers part so they can present the lesson in the best manner so the student will graps the concept. A good eduacator should never just be content with a average lesson, however they should seek ways to be more innovative. As a college graduate I have worked in the field of education for about four years. I am truly intrinsic about working with kids and discovering the true talent and gifts they have to offer. I graduated undergrad with a degree in special education and continued to pursue a masters in Instruction and Curriculum with a focus in reading.
