Becoming a teacher has been one of my life's passions. I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Adolescent Education and Mathematics and am currently working on a Master of Arts degree in Education, Curriculum, Instruction, and Mathematics. I have experience in teaching an array of mathematics classes from 7th grade Math up to Calculus and College Algebra. I also have skills in literacy and writing due to the extensive time and effort I have put in for my masters program. I have been a 1st grade public education teacher for the past 9 years and I have been moved to 4th grade for this upcoming year. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I was also awarded the Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year in 2008. I have taken many reading in-services in differentiated instruction, reading instruction, and literacy centers. I have also taken many in-services problem solving and critical thinking. I have tutored privately each summer and during the school year. I have tutored students who were out of school on an extended leave of absence and students who needed extra help in preparation for the NYS ELA in reading, math, and science.
