Professional but friendly English ESOL teacher

Depending on the area we need to work, the focus of the lesson will vary, but more often my students need all four skills to develop (speaking, listening, writing and reading). I strongly believe in the communicative approach in which I'm internationally certified. I'm open to my students wishes and preferences and choose activities for lessons accordingly.
Teaching experience in class environments and one-to one is over 7 years. I'm one of those lucky ones who loves their profession! Normally I will watch as the student works and when they get stuck is when I would help them. If they do not understand the material I will go back and teach it again. Once they seem to get it I would give one or two practice problems just to be sure they understand completely. I have no issues with repeating things multiple times if it means furthering the child's knowledge.
I have only ever tutored my neighbors two daughters. They both benefitted from it and both of the girls grades went up. Most of the time I would help them with math ,but would also help in any subject they needed, and they would work on their homework as I watched and guided them in the correct direction. A Little Bit About Me...

For five years I taught swimming lessons. While swimming isnotan academic subject, this experience taught me the essentials of teaching. I worked with a large range of ages, from six months to sixty years. While in college I was a tutor/editor in the writing center all three years. A Little Bit About Me...

I have attended private schools for my entire educational career except for the last few months of high school. I was raised to believe that education is one of the most important things one can attain for oneself. As an Early Admissions student, I was accepted to a private liberal arts college as a senior in high school. I always took classes full-time while working part time jobs and maintaining my Academic, Community Service, and Legacy scholarships. I never missed an opportunity to take classes over the summers.
