My comments on tutoring Geography : I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and 5th Grade. I am certified K-6th grade. I also taught advanced and Intermediate math and language arts in a GED/HiSet program. I currently teach ESOL/CIVICS for an Adult School.

I have taught 5th Grade Math and Science, 3rd Grade, 2nd Grade as an Interventionist, Kindergarten, and most recently Advanced Math and Language Arts / ESOL/CIVICS in and Adult GED/HiSet program. I have the ability to motivate and light the fire of interest in my students by incorporating in my teaching full emersion projects. Using an approach that fully immerses my students in the subject they are learning gives them the opportunity to learn firsthand instead of being merely a receiver of information. I love to help children understand a subject better. It is a great feeling to see a student get the idea after being helped. I believe that every student is capable of learning; it all depends on their learning style. In my masters program and while I have been teaching, I have learned many ways to get students engaged in the material they are learning. Some students learn better with one on one and some do better with group work. You just have to try different approaches until you see which one works best.
