A Little Bit About Me...

I have had the pleasure to work inside the Natchez Adams School District as a Permanent Sub. I taught from the Mississippi Curriculum Framer. I completed my very own lesson plans following the district pacing guides. I am a strong believe of different learning styles, while doing so I try to accommodate each style of learning. A Little Bit About Me...

I'm a recent graduate of Rust College. During my years at college I tutored in subjects as biology, basic math, college algebra,English literature, and also was a co-judge for a local junior high science fair. During the summer of 2009, I did my internship with the Ronald E. McNair program at the University of Mississippi. This program focused mainly on research based studies with a chosen graduate professor.
I'm an assertive motivator. Learning should not be repulsive, children love to learn by examples that they can relate to. I find the opportunity to combine the likes and dislikes of the student and mold them into a constructive solution. Using metaphors and similes are more of my specialties. The style is strict, but the concepts are easier. When the task is completed, the student will say I was tough but with a caring aftereffect.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a teacher for the past five years. I have taught Language Arts and History. For the past two years I have taught 7th and 8th grade, but I have also taught 9th and 5th grade. Outside of my career, I have tutored my own children, currently ages 11 and 9.I have also been an Intervention Coach and tutor. I excell at individual and small group tutoring.
Determining the learning styles of individual students is important to me. I adjust and accomodate my approach based on how students respond and learn.
