I recently obtained my BS in Marketing along with a minor in Animal Science from Iowa State University. I was very involved with volunteer activities as a high school student, one of which involved tutoring elementary age children in the areas of reading and writing. I have long excelled in these areas, scoring nearly a perfect in the reading and writing sections on my ACT and working in advanced english courses throughout high school. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from the University of Iowa in 1989. My degree is in Elementary Education with an emphasis in reading. I taught in the same school district for 20 years where I gained experience teaching first, second, third and sixth grade. I am currently employed as the Elementary Student Advisor with the school district that my previous school district recently merged with. My daily duties include teaching guidance classes, advising individual students, working with At-Risk students on homework, and being a liason for parents and teachers. I love my job!
