Bringing Out The Potential In Students...

I started out tutoring elementary students in basic math and English grammar while I attended college part time in the 1980's. I continued tutoring young students and adults in the 1990's, tutoring Basic Math, Basic and Intermediate Algebra, Basic Geometry, English Composition, Speech, Study Skills and the Sciences. In addition, tips were given to enhance test-taking skills in hard-to-Ace subjects like Economics. Mathematics Teacher Grades 7-12

I like to have the kids be interactive with my my teaching. I have the kids fill out "fill in the blanks" while I am lecturing and I like to have the kids come up to the board and do problems after the lecturing. I also like to apply real world applications when possible.
I am currently working as a substitute teacher in many districts in metro Detroit. A Little Bit About Me...

While I was a student at Norfolk State, I was a mentor and a tutor during my junior and senior years while maintaining a 3.0 GPA and graduating with honors. As a junior, I volunteered at one of the local middle schools as a mentor and I tutored mathematics. I also volunteered to tutor students on my campus in the basic math courses that were offered at my campus. During my senior year I worked in the tutoring office at the campus that offered a more formal style of tutoring.
