I believe that practice makes perfect. I have materials for the above classes and I have been editing papers for people since I was in the 7th grade. As a journalism student, my grammar and punctuation are impeccable. Proofreading is one of my specialties.
I am a college sophomore at the University of Missouri-Columbia. I am pursuing Bachelor's degrees in Journalism and Art History. My expertise is in English, history, and art, but I also have experience tutoring in French up to high school French III. I received a 35 and 36 on the English and Reading portions of the ACT, respectively. I also received a score of 4 or above on the following AP exams: Art History, English Literature, American Government, Comparative Government, American History, and European History.

A Little Bit About Me...

Earned degree 1966-Have traveled multiple times in Europe where I have successfully used the French language in French speaking and non-French speaking areas. Have tutored for two years through two different services. I very much enjoy helping others to learn another language, and have fun with it. I am also qualified to tutor basic math and reading.
I prefer a relaxed relaltionship with students regardless of their age. I do not try to force anything, rather comfortably explain things on a level that can be understood by the student. I try to have fun with the subject, and make it interesting on the student's level of understanding/experience. I realize some students may not be comfortable in a remedial situation, and try to encourage participation in a non-threatening manner.

I worked as Library Assistant in the University where I earned my Accounting Degree. At first it was just a voluntary when some students needed a help especially mathematics subjects. As time went on, I became passionate about it and start coaching my friend's kids, helping them with their homework. I love doing it, it made me feel I am alive. It was on my Second year in college where I started my volunteer in Grade School and High School to conduct and arrange some extra hour of tutorial. My teaching style is modeled after the great teachers and professors I have had during my four years of secondary and post-secondary education. I strive for patience and understanding, yet I try to challenge, which I believe can be more rewarding than learning by imitation. I earned by BA in Psychology in 2010, and I consider myself a very well-rounded student.
