My teaching style is calm, patient, and supportive. I've learned over the years that in every situation, including the classroom, that in teaching writing, the instructor must begin where the student is, recognize and affirm existing positive skills and knowledge, and build on those. I have always enjoyed working with children and knew I would want a career working with kids to help enhance their futures. While still in high school, I worked after-school tutoring elementary age students in a wide variety of subjects.
