I attended Houghton College for 2 1/2 years. Then I went to NCCC and earned an AS, then transferred to Charter Oak State College. They took all the credits I had earned as a student at both schools, allowed me to define my degree, told me which additional credits I needed and granted my degree. I have homeschooled my children for 15 years. My oldest is 19 and going to RIT in the fall. He has an AS which he got the week he turned 18. I also have two teens whom I currently school. Before I was able to tutor, I taught 7 year old girls cheerleading. When I began to tutor, I enjoyed being one on one with the child. I am very patient, punctual and considerate. I know children that need extra help need extra time. I find it personally rewarding to supplament a child's education. A couple of hours of preparation beforehand can make the difference between a tedious, unproductive experience and one that encourages the student and makes the excited about learning.
