I was an American Read tutor at two elementary schools. I worked with kindergarteners and third graders to enhance their reading skills. In a one on one setting with approved books and kept them on track will goals that we set to meet each each. While I earned a bachelor's of science in Zoology where I took human anatomy. I have also tutored my younger four siblings through school.
I get to know the student first and see how best he/she learns. and go from there. I have worked with so many different personalities that I have been able to help each the best I can with understanding and patience. Tutoring a subject that I also had to learn will make it easier to teach them the tools that I needed to do the same. I hope that by showing how I did and that it was doable that they too can do it.

My B.S. degree is Music Education-Secondary level of which I am a current licensed teacher. Most of my experience has been working with disadvantaged youth through the government Job Corps program. I graduated from the University of Utah in Piano Performance in May 2007 with a 3.79 GPA and am fluent in Spanish. I won first place in Music Theory at the University of Utah Summer Arts Piano Competition in 2005. I have been teaching private piano lessons in my home since August 2001. I am also a composer, arranger, and producer.
I teach a classical base to all of my piano students. The method books Faber and Alfred are the books I use the most often. I supplement my teaching with ear training and pop music chord reading.
