A Little Bit About Me...

As a double major in Economics and Sociology I gained extensive experience with both mathematics as well as writing and oral presentations. In my final semester I enrolled in two graduate level classes and despite the difficulty of my class schedule worked even harder to achieve a 4.0 GPA for that semester. The combination of Economics and Sociology has provided a unique opportunity for me to develop my ability to understand complicated mathematical theories and equations and explain them in both written and oral forms. Although, I have not formally tutored, I participated in numerous study groups and have informally tutored friends. In addition I was a CPR teacher for two years.

A Little Bit About Me...

As an undergraduate student at Central Washington University, I was self motivated and involved in various activities. I have earned two bachelor degrees, BA in Sociology and BA in Law and Justice. In addition to these two broad areas of studies, I am a McNair Scholars recipient and conducted graduate level research. I have mentored and advised students as an employee in student affairs and as a Teacher's Assistant in the Law and Justice Department. During the last 5 years I have tutored students in Sociology, psychology, philosophy and basic grammar skills.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked in Mathematics Education for the past 25 years. I worked with elementary and middle school students for the first five years I taught. I then taught high school math for 1 year and have since taught adults at the University level. I spent 17 years at Heritage University and throughly enjoyed my adult students. I now teach for Yakima Valley College and enjoy these students too. I have two degrees, a BS in Math and a Master's in Math Education. I have tutored many students in math also.
