A Little Bit About Me...

As I suffered through my younger years with Attention Deficit Disorder, I feel that it is extremely important to appeal to almost all of the senses when teaching. As for myself, I am definitely a visual learner, so I feel that visual aids are important. I am a big fan of hand outs in full color. You will often find me drawing a picture on the board. I feel it is important to hear it and see it, and if you can, touch it. Another important teaching style I implement, is watching my students and making sure they know how to do it. My teaching style is very interactive. I like to hear what the student has to say, and to tune in to the best way to approach each student. One of my proudest accomplishments was the success of one particular student, who, at the age of 40, was back in school, having finally been diagnosed with learning disabilities after being passed through the public school system. A Little Bit About Me...

I was a peer tutor in high school for English and Spanish. I also tutored children in Hebrew at a local temple. In addition, I volunteered as a tutor for underprivileged children in Chicago in all areas: Spelling, Reading, Writing, Math, Language, etc. for grades K-8.
I love to work with children of all ages and genders. I have worked with children who have learning disabilities, physical disabilities as well as children of all ages, races, and genders.
