I try to express ideas in multiple ways, understanding that all students learn differently. I also try to provide real world examples to bring a more practical application to the students' studies. I served in the US Navy for six years after high school, providing me with a wealth of world experience. I excelled in my studies in the Navy's nuclear power program as a machinist mate and engineering laboratory technician. I subsequently obtained a BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and graduated Summa Cum Laude.
