When considering my teaching style, it is difficult to explain a single process for teaching. When working with different people it is important to remain creative, inventive, and patient. Every person has different learning styles and it is important to recognize in that person what helps them understand more fully. Whether it is diagram and pictures, breaking a complex problem into many simple parts, comparing similar examples that are familiar to the person, or simply taking the time to make sure that the child feels comfortable saying "I don't know". All of these are useful tools, but in my opinion by far the most important is patience. Remaining patient when someone doesn't understand is the absolute most important thing. A Little Bit About Me...

To develop responsible learners who will succeed in and contribute to a changing world is vital! Because of this, a student-centered education is important. A constructivism approach to learning is very important to me as opposed to the behavioralist approach that has dominated education. I strive to actively engage students in their own education. Also, it is important to me to determine the best learning style to use for each individual student. I am pleasant, outgoing and have a great sense of humor. I am dedicated and enthusiastic and patient and caring and I love teaching.

A Little Bit About Me...

Although I have recently graduated with a degree in business, I am interested in pursuing a career involving people. My previous employment was a sales position that was very customer-oriented. I also have 3 years of experience helping children by teaching swimming lessons. Assisting my 15-year-old sister with her school work is also a regular activity.
I believe in a teaching style that reflects a student's learning style. Whether they learn best by hearing, seeing, or doing it is important to cater to the student. My teaching style works around this philosphy and tends to be a combination of all 3 styles.
