Initially, I began tutoring in Potsdam. I was able to work with students struggling in Math. In addition, I have teaching experience in Texas and New York. In Texas, I was able to teach summer school Math in order to assist students to pass their Exit-level exam. In New York, I worked as a director and tutor for Huntington Learning Center.
I care very deeply about the success of each of my students. My degree in Math did not come easily and I had to work very hard. I understand the frustrations of the students and try to show them how to complete their work in different ways. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2007 from SUNY Brockport with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, English and Special Education. I have worked as a substitute teacher in all grade levels and in all subject areas. I have been accepted into a high degree Masters program but feel I need to have a job to justify the repayment(s) of additional student loans that would be needed to finish my MA.
