Musical is one of my top subjects! I studied music composition in school. If music theory or music history is giving you fits, I can explain it to you so that you can understand it.

I teach mostly by rote. So, if you want an interactive lab, then I'm your man. Language is alive and meant to be spoken, not droned on about in a lecture.
I am not a fancy certified teacher. I don't speak Castilian Spanish, and I don't pretend that the Spanish that I speak is as formal as they speak in Madrid. But I am fluent, and I do know the language. I am new to the field of teaching, and trying to help others while I make a name for myself. I don't promise to make you fluent in Spanish overnight, but with interest and participation from you, I will teach you the Spanish that you need to accomplish your goals.

I am a recent graduate of Jacksonville State University and hold a Bachelors degree in Music Education. I've been playing clarinet for about 12 years. I'm also certified by the state of Alabama in instrumental music education. I did my internship at Piedmont Middle School, Piedmont High School, and Kitty Stone Elementary School so I have had experience with students of all grade levels. I believe a "hands-on" approach is the best way to retain knowledge given all learning styles. If we do it, we will remember it. If learning is considered fun, we want to do it and all subject areas can have an element of fun. Positive reinforcement within a structured environment is my style of classroom management and it works.
