I have been tutoring for over 15 years both in students homes or at public locations such as coffee shops or the public library. My education and experience are broad. I was educated at "Ivy League" level schools and purposefully educated myself in a large variety of the humanities, which in essence all tie together. A Little Bit About Me...

As an avid tutor I was required to follow the avid tutoring format. Before I joined the program I was unaware of what exactly this entailed. The avid program suggests groups of 5-7 students gather around a table with the avid tutor being placed at the head of the table. My job is not to tutor, but to rather facilitate the learning as students take turns proposing a tutorial question. This proved difficult because several instances I felt the need to "break" the rules in order to truly help a student.
