My belief is in the child. I am extremely patient and loving. The child sets the pace at which we learn and we would not move on to the next subject until the child completely understands the material.

Stefany Rodriguez: The tutor for you! (Wow that was lame...)

I have a lot of patience when it comes to teaching. Also I believe that a good way to learn is not so much in theory, but rather a hands on kind of technique. So, I love talking and giving examples, instead of just reading directly from books and so on.
I am Stefany Rodríguez and I just moved from Puerto Rico all the way to Florida. I graduated highschool and now am studying Drama at Valencia college. My background is filled with academic success, especially in areas like theatre and music. I have participated in many plays, such as Oedipus Rex, Hercules, World War 2, and Les Miserables. I have alwayshad a great work and study method which is what has kept me focused in all my projects. I am a great vocal and drama teacher, since it is my passion and I love for the world to get curious and want to love it as much as I do. Drama is one of my top subjects! I've been a drama or theatre tutor in the past. It's one of the most fun subjects to help someone learn in.

I recently graduated with a double major in theatre and public relations. I've been doing both for 5 years. In theatre I have been both on and backstage for numerous productions as well as assisted three Acting I classes throughout my college career. I've directed, stage managed, acted, designed, built, and teched over 20 shows in total. In public relations, I've written press releases, news articles, made media press kits, interned at a non-profit organization where I created marketing materials with InDesign and Photoshop.
With acting or theatre, I like learning my subjects style of learning and going from there. It's very easy to coach someone through an acting exercise once you know the way that they learn the best. In Public relations, it is a bit harder to figure out the best way to teach each person, because it is a more straightforward, fact based art.

As a reading and technology teacher, I prepared high school students for college level. Teaching the method of (keyboarding) typing as well as basic word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software using the Microsoft Office suite. Teaching students to learn basic business concepts, employment tips, reading, writing and creating research papers as assessment. In addition, students apply their skills learned to creat portfolio highlighting academic and personal achievements. Include teaching continuing education after school program and administered assessments.
My expectation is that all students will succeed, to have good classroom management, and to design lessons to help students reach mastery. My goal is to create self-aware, self-reliant, and self-governing for all students. A number of students are not aware of the importance of reading being a verbal intelligence. This ... read more

I have experience with all age groups and types of children. I volunteer at a school for children with learning/emotional disabilities, and I have also worked with troubled at-risk students through my time doing SES tutoring. These particular experiences, as well as others, have clearly demonstrated that all children are capable of learning, but it is imperative that certain children just have a little extra time and help. I believe tutoring is essential for this reason, because the tutor gets the chance to work a bit more closely with students, so that it is slightly easier to learn their style and capabilities. On my end, I offer this attention to my students and keep detailed info about all of their setbacks, successes, learning styles etc. This, paired with the appropriate instruction based on individuals instead of groups, is what propels me forward. In addition, I am consistent, pa ... read more

I have a Bachelor and a Masters Degree in Education. I have been a high school teacher, college instructor, and a middle school teacher. Currently, I am working as a trainer for a software company. I like to share my knowledge and I feel that one-on-one tutoring is the best situation for me as well as for the student.
I believe that every child is unique. I believe that anybody can learn, though some can take longer than others. I enjoy sharing what I know, and for me there is no better joy than seeing the dawn of understanding in a child's face. I believe in guiding or leading towards learning, instead of just spoonfeeding information to the child.

A Little Bit About Me...

As an instructor, I have been working with students and parents for a long time. I have performed classroom instruction and tutoring sessions. As a doctoral student, I have developed excellent writing and organizational skills along with effective time management. My professional but approachable demeanor encourages students to perform their best, but also invites questions for clarification on matters which are unclear.
I believe education and learning is about the student. All students can succeed if given the proper motivation and opportunity to develop their learning styles. A student needs to trust but respect an instructor so that he/she isn't afraid to ask questions. Difficult to grasp concepts must be presented in a manner that is non-threatening to the student and on a level in which they can comprehend. Frequent checks for understanding must be performed and often t ... read more

One can tell the passion and love of a subject thay truly enjoy when it lights up there eyes and brings a smile to one's face. I remember the sounds, the sites, the many tastes and memories created while growing up in Italy. I have in me what no text book or writing can create. A true love for the language, a true desire to share my history, my experience and love for life. I have always been and will always be a professional in what I teach and how I teach. I use several techniques in correct pronounciation, verbiage, pictures and speaking styles based on who you speak with and the levels or tones used while conversing with others.
I beleive that everybody can learn another language if not several languages. We are prone to just knowing who we are. There is so much more to us and a mind is a terrible thing to waste. Feed your mind and it will nourish you for ages. I stress no ... read more

I have always considered education to be the greatest form of investment. I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing, which has enabled me to become a better leader. During five years of residency in Israel, I have tutored high school students in English, Russian, mathematics, history, and chemistry.
