I've been a teacher's unofficial little helper since I was in Elementary, helping the students of my class that the teacher simply didn't have the extra time to help. From then on, I helped and even eventually taught my younger siblings when the current school system left them in the dust, and even helped them get a leg up and advance faster than their classmates. I've tutored a few younger kids in various subjects in my high school years, as well as occasionally teaching Taekwondo classes.
My teaching style is flexible, tailored to the specific needs of the student in question. Everybody learns differently and at different paces!

I enjoy teaching and more importantly I love helping others. I am patient, easy going and understanding. I understand that learning is a process and is not the same for everyone. Some people response better to different forms of teaching than others and that is one of the major challenges teachers face. I work well with youth and enjoy challenging myself and trying new teaching methods because any student can learn. Any student can succeed.
As a undergraduate my main focus was interpersonal and intercultural communications. I tutored at a local high school for two years in many different subjects, especially math and english. I am a local professional with sixteen years of experiences in the Human Services field, most of those years in state and county government focusing on the protection of vulnerable populations. My other field of study in college was writing and I have strong grammar and vocabulary skills. I have edited medical research articles for several companies, edited newspaper articles, and I had a year of tutoring SAT prep courses through the Princeton Review.
