My teaching style depends upon the learning preferences of the student, as I know each student has their own way of learning. Moreover, I also provide additional supplemental information and practice problems. I believe in learning not only the concepts of a subject, but also their real world applications. I graduated from Oregon State University this year with double Honors BS degrees in Earth Science (with a Climatology focus) and Environmental Economics & Politics. I also have a Minor in Political Science. My Honors Thesis, which is in the final stages of submission, is on the testing of a new variable mixing efficiency variable for use in our current climate models. My teaching style consists of finding that unique style that will suit each individual student. Growing up, I noticed that it was very hard for certain students to grasp certain concepts because they were not engaged in the teaching method. It is no secret that everyone learns a certain way, and no two ways are ever the same. I believe that my patience, my calm demeanor, and habit of wanting to make learning something fun rather than a job has certainly helped me in my education. I also am a big proponent of having children set goals for themselves.
