I have been a dance teacher in both a private SACS accredited school and public school for a total of 20 years. I have taught all ages, as I am certified K-12. In my tenure as an electives teacher, I have been required to teach content skills in both math and reading. Most recently, I was a lead teacher for a preschool where I prepared students to enter kindergarten. I have excellent written and verbal skills, which along with my passion for teaching combine to make me a great tutor! I have had great success working with ADD and ADHD students.
I strongly believe in differentiated learning. Each student, with the help of a qualified educator, should discover which learning style (or combination of styles) works best for them. I have a Bachelor's degree in Art and Design and have used my degree in the fields of Photography and Graphic Design. I am currently getting my teaching certificate for Art Education K-12 so that I will be able to pass my passion of Art on to others. In my spare time I enjoy painting along with some figure drawing.
