I get EXCITED about teaching! I love to implement all different resources to help all different types of learners to fully understand the concept. Being able to move around, hear, write and see the information will allow kiddos to soak up all that information! This might be my first year teaching, but that does not take away from my passion or excitement for teaching! I love kids, I most of all love seeing that “ah ha” moment on their faces! In addition to currently being a substitute teacher for the Missouri State Schools teaching a variety of subjects, I have tutored elementary students in all subjects for one year. Through another employer, I worked closely with two students to improve grade performance in writing and math. Also, I have worked as a group facilitator for about six months where I taught adults basic living skills and tutored them to help them obtain a G.E.D. I work diligently to ensure that I am very versatile when tutoring as I believe students learn differently. I have earned a BSE from Missouri Baptist University in education and hold a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate. My training at Missouri Baptist University has been supplemented with observations, field experiences, and student teaching which I completed at Kingston Elementary, Vineland Elementary, and Athena Elementary. I have also earned two associate degrees; AA in Education from Jefferson College and an AS in Interior Design from Patricia Stevens College.
