Experience Summary
In addition to currently being a substitute teacher for the Missouri State Schools teaching a variety of subjects, I have tutored elementary students in all subjects for one year. Through another employer, I worked closely with two students to improve grade performance in writing and math. Also, I have worked as a group facilitator for about six months where I taught adults basic living skills and tutored them to help them obtain a G.E.D.
Teaching Style
I work diligently to ensure that I am very versatile when tutoring as I believe students learn differently. I am very polite and patient when assisting a student who is struggling in getting a concept. When applicable, I try to make learning a fun and enjoy applying learned material to the student’s life. I enjoy assisting students in reaching their goals, and feel all students can learn. I feel education is more important than ever and enjoy working closely with students by giving them personal support and encouragement to be successful in learning.
