I obtained my BA in Social Work and have worked in that field since 1993. In 2005 I began a part time job as an Adult Education instructor for Sentinel Career Center where my primary focus was language arts/writing. I was part of the STAR reading program where I became certified to teach adults to read. I truly miss teaching and mentoring kids. I approach teaching as an opportunity to bring out the maximum potential within each student. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always been a tutor of sorts. I love to teach kids because of the sparkle they get in their eyes when they finally understand what they are being taught. Each child have a different learning style so I try to work with them to see what works for them. I have worked with kids who have ADD and the gifted. The greatest thing I can teach is that we can teach to create intelligence, but wisdom comes from using all that you know.

I have been a working graphic designer for most of my life after graduation from Ohio State. After 12 years of design I was asked to participate in an art and education program at Chicago Public Schools Autism Program. I was hired on the spot and then continued with education by obtaining a masters degree in special education in Tempe Arizona.
