A Little Bit About Me...

I have always been a tutor of sorts. I love to teach kids because of the sparkle they get in their eyes when they finally understand what they are being taught. Each child have a different learning style so I try to work with them to see what works for them. I have worked with kids who have ADD and the gifted. The greatest thing I can teach is that we can teach to create intelligence, but wisdom comes from using all that you know.
I started tutoring in 7th grade back in 1976. I have been tutoring my own kids for over 14 years. I have been a Scout leader for over 9 years. I worked with boys ages 5 to 18 years of age. After 12 years of design I was asked to participate in an art and education program at Chicago Public Schools Autism Program. I was hired on the spot and then continued with education by obtaining a masters degree in special education in Tempe Arizona.
