A Little Bit About Me...

I am certified to teach students of kindergarten age through the 6th grade. I taught all subjects including math, reading, history, science, social studies, etc. This certification was achieved by attending Old Dominion University's Career Switcher Program. As such a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Business Finance degree, I can teach a variety of subjects for older students, to include insurance, statistics, investment education, accounting, and marketing. With my MBA, I was able to build upon my strengths as well as expand my knowledge to include labor relations and management skills. A year ago, I had the honor of substituting as an Assistant Teacher with an amazing kindergarten teacher. I learned then that she maintains her respect and passion for her career by following this mantra: "I need to understand my students come to me in the morning having already experienced some kind of morning of their own at home. A Little Bit About Me...

I love learning and understanding new concepts and ideas. So while attending Emory & Henry college I was excited about tutoring at the local school to help Children gain a better grasp on the things they were learning in class. After graduating with Bachelors degrees in Math and Physics, I wanted to continue to learn more and keep passing on what I had learned to others.
