I'm a current student at the University of South Dakota studying Medical Lab Science. I specialize in tutoring in chess, science and mathematics. I have taken many upper level college classes including higher levels in calculus, physics and biology. I have tutored for five years primarily in Elementary and Middle School Students.

I have history tutoring microbiology, physiology, and anatomy while earning my undergraduate degree. I tutored through the Wintrode Tutoring Center on the SDSU campus and was an intern for the anatomy and microbiology lab classes. Upon graduation I applied and was accepted into the University of South Dakota's Sanford School of Medicine. I try to present a concept or fact in several different ways so that I can resonate with the students thinking style. I have been told that I am a very good communicator and educator and can make concepts that seem complicated look much simpler and more comprehendible. If you've ever looked at the Khan Academy website, were Sal Khan makes little You Tube videos on all sorts of math and science topics, you will see a very similar method to how I educate . Every student learns differently but they all respond to a few tricks I've learned. Positive feedback helps all student gain confidence and reduce their frustration while learning. Examples are key to almost every tutoring session, the trick is knowing what example to use. Leading the student to find the answer themself builds their confidence and increases understanding. Throughout my educational years, I have greatly appreciated the opportunity to tutor a variety of students in various fields.
