When I teach I try to make the student feel more at ease with the subject. Yes this material is difficult but with persistence it not only do you succeed in academia but you end up discovering something amazing. While I am patient and encouraging, I do have little tolerance for excuses. If how I teach is not working, I will find another way looking beyond the standard text if need be. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is very simple and I believe it is effective. I have found that going through problems does not always help kids learn. I always try to tutor the basics and establish a plan for problem solving. The children need to know how to attach a problem not how to plug numbers into equations.
While attending the University of Massachusetts at Lowell I work to help other students that were having difficulty understanding the material presented. I obtained a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Structural Analysis. The course work gave me a very strong understanding of Mathematics, and Physics. Also, the quantity of lab reports I have written has given me an advantage in writing non-technical reports along with technical reports. Removing the fear of the subject seems to be the most important part.
