Portuguese is one of my top subjects! I am native from Sao Paulo, Brazil and I have been living in the USA for 11 years. Recently I became an American Citizen. I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Graduate Degree in Marketing, but I have been working as a Brazilian Portuguese translator and Tutor for about 3 years now. In Brazil I had some experience teaching foreigners, and in the USA I had taught for the ICU (International Center for the Upstate); Now I have been giving private classes. Depending what you are looking for, my classes can include: Introduction to the Brazilian culture (key concepts and values), cultural awareness, cross-cultural training, Brazilian Business etiquette, Life style, what to expect, getting prepared to move or travel to Brazil, geography, and of course, the language itself (Grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, etc). I teach different levels (just some examples) 1) Survival Level: greetings and introductions, asking for information, at the airport, what to culturally expect, initial grammar, pronunciation, articles, question words, verbs, and much more. 2) Conversational Level: Daily Routine, at work, pronunciation, adverbs, future, and much more.

I love helping children improve academically. All children can realize success if given the opportunity and right tools. Realizing that all children learn differently, I employ a variety of teaching styles to help each child understand in his or her own way.
